Transparent California makes over 2,500 individual public records requests every year in order to obtain and publish 2 million of the most current pay records available. Unfortunately, we may not be able to continue that work this year. Like many non-profits, a significant portion of our income relies on fundraising events. As a result of the Coronavirus outbreak, we were forced to cancel our spring celebration, which has left us scrambling to fill the void.
Unless we raise $10,000 in the next two weeks, we will have to make significant cuts to the Transparent California project, including the staff who work tirelessly to make sure the site remains online and updated with new data.
If you value the site and would like to see it remain online and current, please make a donation today.
2 days left to fundraising goal deadline!
